Terms of Service
1. Who This Applies To
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hstPanel, HomePanel, and any related software or services operated by Cyrix Software ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using our software, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the software.
2. License & What You Can Do
When you purchase or receive a license key, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Install and run hstPanel on your own server(s) as permitted by your plan tier.
- Use all features available under your licensed plan.
- Receive updates released during your license period.
Your license key is tied to the first server IP it's activated on. If you need to reinstall on a new server (e.g. after a crash), contact us and we'll reset it for you — no hassle.
3. What You Can't Do
A few things are off the table:
- Don't share or resell your key. Each license is for one person/organization. Posting your key publicly or selling it to others will result in revocation.
- Don't use the software for illegal purposes. That includes hosting content that's illegal in your jurisdiction, running spam operations, unauthorized access to other systems, or anything similar.
- Don't attempt to crack, bypass, or reverse-engineer the licensing system. We don't mind you learning how the panel works, but circumventing the license mechanism isn't acceptable.
- Don't misrepresent our software as your own or rebrand it for commercial resale without written permission.
4. Beta Program
Beta license keys are provided free of charge to early testers. Beta keys give you full access to all features with no expiry date — in exchange, we ask for honest feedback when you find something broken.
Beta keys are non-transferable and permanently locked to the first server they're activated on. We reserve the right to revoke beta keys if they're shared or misused, but we're not going to revoke them just because paid plans launch — existing beta users keep their access.
5. Payments & Refunds
When paid plans become available, all pricing will be displayed clearly before purchase. Prices are in USD.
We offer a 14-day refund window for paid licenses. If you're not happy with the software in that period, email us at admin@hstpanel.net and we'll process a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion — we'll generally be reasonable if something on our end broke or wasn't as advertised.
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks without prior contact will result in immediate license revocation, and we may contest the chargeback.
6. Service Availability
hstPanel is self-hosted software that runs on your own server. We don't host it for you, so your uptime is in your hands. Our licensing API (used to validate and activate keys) is maintained on a best-effort basis. If the API is temporarily unavailable, your panel will continue to function normally — we don't build kill-switches into your installation.
7. Privacy
When you activate a license, we store your server's IP address, your license key, and activation timestamp. We don't sell this information or use it for advertising. We may contact you at the email you provided during purchase with important service updates.

8. No Warranty
hstPanel is provided "as is." We work hard to make it stable and reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be bug-free or suitable for every use case. Use it in production at your own risk, and always maintain your own backups. We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or other damages arising from use of the software.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cyrix Software's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the software is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll post a notice on the website and bump the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the software after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
